Novarbo has been invited to speak in an international vertical farming webinar which is organized by Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The webinar will be held in two parts, the first taking place on Monday 17 January 2022 and the second on Tuesday 18 January 2022.
The webinar is aimed for greenhouse experts and managers at the Ministry of Agriculture and the provinces in Iran, Experts of Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineering Organization, greenhouse owners and applicants for the construction of a greenhouses and the Iranian Greenhouse Manufacturers Association.
The webinar is open for everyone, and anyone who is interested in learning more about vertical farming is more than welcome to join!

In the webinar, in addition to HAMK’s experts, there will be presentations from Finnish companies, such as Netled, Valoya and Novarbo Oy. Also, representants from the Natural Resource Institute of Finland, Aalto University and Savonia University of Applied Sciences are presenting their knowledge on the subject. The webinar will be opened by the Iranian ambassador to Finland Her Excellence Forouzandeh Vadiati, Finnish ambassador to Iran Mr. Kari Kaihiluoto, Deputy Minister of Horticulture of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture Mr. Mohammad Mehdi Boroumandi, and HAMK’s Dean of School of Bioeconomy Mona-Anitta Riihimäki.
The goal of this webinar is to share information about vertical farming, how it is executed in Finland and to present technological solutions and development of vertical farming. At the end of the webinar, we hope that our audience has learned something new and will take some of these practices into their own operations. Moreover, we hope that this webinar will work as a platform to create new connections and possibilities for future co-operation.
